With Tarantino's DJANGO UNCHAINED in theatres now what better time to familiarize yourself with the original Sergio Corbucci film? In 1966 this was considered one of the most violent films around and was refused classification in Britain until 1993, and banned outright in Sweden. It currently has a 91% rating on RottenTomatoes and has been called one of the greatest of all Spaghetti Westerns. It is claimed to have over 100 unofficial sequels (although only roughly 31 have been counted) but in reality only has one official sequel DJANGO 2 which was released in 1987 with Franco Nero returning as the title character.
